About us
The Anatomical Society, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, was established on 10th December 2014, under the conceptualization of Prof. Madhuwanthi Dissanayake, (the former Senior Treasurer of the society who was also the Head of the Department of Anatomy at the time) with the full cooperation of the then Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Rohan Jayasekara.
Interestingly, the Anatomical Society is the only society of the faculty that is run by the youngest batch of students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. To accomplish the vision and the mission of the society, we launched several projects during the previous year.

The official Journal of the Anatomical Society is out now! This is the fifth volume of the publication. The journal includes articles from students of Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo prepared under guidance of the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo.
